Christmas isn’t just a nostalgic holiday; it’s a declaration.

Isaiah wrote, “The people walking in darkness have seen a great light” (Isaiah 9:2).  He wrote those words into a world full of fear, uncertainty, injustice, and waiting.  Kinda sounds like our world, huh?

Sometimes, darkness is anxiety that won’t let go.  Perhaps it’s a schedule that never slows down.  Maybe it’s a family situation that’s more complicated than festive.  Or it’s just the quiet weight of wondering what’s next.

But Christmas breaks into all of that with one message: Light has come.

And not just any light.  A great light.
A light that doesn’t flicker when life gets messy.
A light that isn’t dimmed by bad news or busy calendars.
A light that doesn’t wait for us to have it all together.

Jesus steps into our world and into our right now.  He offers clarity where we’re confused, hope where we’re tired, and peace where we feel stretched too thin.

So today, as you unwrap gifts and settle into the rhythms of Christmas Day, remember this simple truth:

No matter where you are, the Light has already found you.

Merry CHRISTmas.  May His light warm every corner of your day.

We’ll be taking a short break until January 7, when Life Meets Theology returns to our study in Genesis.  We’ll be looking at Genesis 29:31-35: “When God Sees the Unseen.”
