Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is easy when life’s good—the table’s full, the family’s laughing, and the Wi-Fi actually works.

But what about when things aren’t working right?

We’re told in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV), “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Paul’s words to the Thessalonians remind us that gratitude isn’t just for the highlight reel.  It’s for all circumstances: the wins and the wounds, the harvest and the hunger.

That kind of thankfulness doesn’t come naturally.  It’s a posture that says, “God, I trust You more than I trust my situation.”

Gratitude shifts our focus from what’s missing to Who’s present.  And when we start seeing life through that lens, even the grind becomes holy ground.

So on this Thanksgiving Day, don’t just count blessings, look for the Lord’s fingerprints in the ordinary.  See the laughter that interrupts stress.  Enjoy the meal that reminds you of His provision.  Embrace the cross that proves His love never runs out.

Give thanks in everything, not just for everything, and watch how your heart starts to rest, even when life doesn’t.

Happy Thanksgiving!
