I started writing this blog decades ago after reading a blog by Dr. John Piper, who wrote that every pastor should write a blog.

Among the reasons he gave for doing this, the one that stuck out to me was that better writers are better communicators. As a pastor, I want to communicate the truth of God’s Word as best as possible. I’m still working on that.

But it never crossed my mind that anyone else would read it. I certainly never imagined that thousands of people would read my blog through WordPress, Social Media, and Email.

It’s humbling to me that something I write helps you. Whenever I write these blogs, I think of my readers. You’ve inspired me to keep writing and to keep working at communicating better.

On this Thanksgiving Day (USA), I want to say:

Thank you, readers, for being with me on this journey. May the Lord bless you with mountaintop experiences with Him and peace in the valley. May your Thanksgiving be filled with the joy of knowing the Creator of the Universe has prepared a place for you in Heaven. You are loved. You are precious in His sight. May your soul be filled today.

Happy Thanksgiving!
